In this workshop, we will continue moving from fundamentals of watercolor to expressive painting. Prerequisite: Abstracting the Garden in Watercolor Part 1.
Abstracting the Garden in Watercolor, Part 2 topics:
- A quick warm-up
- Techniques of watercolor (repeat the wet on wet, wet on dry and glazing exercises)
- Instruction on choosing your subject
- Painting a "values by number"
- Painting a looser, more emotional version of the values by number
- Share what we learned
Materials provided. We will begin the workshop in the rustic antique barn at Horsford Nursery and have a chance to roam the gardens for inspiration. Feel free to bring your favorite folding chair to ensure your comfort.
