Terms & Conditions — The Smiling Snail

To keep our workshops intimate and high-quality, spaces are very limited. Your spot is officially reserved once payment is received in full.

Because we must prepare materials, secure space, and commit our energy well in advance, we have a simple "14-day" policy:

More than 14 days notice: If you cancel more than two weeks before the workshop, we will provide a 50% refund or a 100% credit towards a workshop in the same calendar year.
14 days or less notice: Registrations are non-refundable.
Health Note: If you are sick, please stay home and rest! While we cannot offer a refund for last-minute illness, please email us as soon as possible. If we have a waiting list and can fill your seat, we will gladly offer you a credit toward a future workshop.

Weather: Workshops are held unless conditions are unsafe or severe.
Rescheduling: If we must cancel due to weather, instructor emergency or an issue with the host venue we will offer a rescheduled date. If you cannot make the new date, you will receive a full refund.

The Smiling Snail is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and creative environment for everyone.

Respectful Conduct: By participating, you agree to treat fellow participants, the instructor, and our host venues with kindness and respect.
Venue Care: We are guests at beautiful locations. We ask that you follow all venue-specific rules and treat their property and staff with the utmost consideration.
Zero Tolerance: We reserve the right to ask any participant to leave without a refund if their behavior is disrespectful, discriminatory, or disruptive to the safety and well-being of the group.

Environment: Our workshops often take place in rustic or outdoor settings. By registering, you agree to take responsibility for your own safety and comfort.
Clothing & Property: We recommend sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a little paint or soil on. The Smiling Snail is not responsible for personal injury or damage to personal property.
Partner Waivers: When workshops are held at partner locations, you may be asked to sign an additional waiver provided by the venue regarding personal responsibility at their space.

The Smiling Snail media: We love capturing the vibrant energy of our workshops. By participating, you agree that The Smiling Snail may take photographs or videos during the event for use on our website and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, just let us know at the start of the workshop and we will happily honor your privacy.
Partner Waivers: When workshops are held at partner locations, you may be asked to sign an additional waiver provided by the venue regarding their specific use of images.
